Gram Freezers

BioPlus

The BioPlus range of freezers is considered to be the pinnacle of Gram’s technological expertise. Users are able to store samples which are incredibly temperature sensitive to within a fraction of a degree. The BioPlus freezers enable the user to reduce the internal humidity and therefore lower the likelihood of undesirable contaminants from getting near to the samples. This model is available in the following sizes: 500, 600, 660, 930, 1270 and 1400 litres. Like all Gram products, they are built with the environment in mind and their refrigerant is completely CFC and HFC free.

BioMidi

The BioMidi is a mid-level range of laboratory freezers designed to cope with the majority of user demands. The BioMidi freezer is available in two different sizes: 425 or 625 litres and can be customised to meet the requirements of the user. Like all Gram refrigerators, the BioMidi is fitted with a clever air distribution system which ensures that the temperature inside remains stable without using too much energy.

BioCompact II

An improvement on the original BioCompact, the BioCompact II is suitable for a wide range of freezing applications. Available in five different sizes (125, 218, 250, 346 and 583 litres), this model of refrigerator can be fitted with a glass door and soft closing drawers instead of wire rack shelves. Users can choose from an exterior colour of gloss white to stainless steel. The design of the interior is such that there are a variety of different ways the user can deal with individual storage requirements, thanks to the versatile interior layout and the comprehensive range of optional extras.

BioCompact

BioCompact is ideal for the general storage of biomaterial under controlled temperatures. More refined and reliable than a household domestic freezer, the BioCompact is available in four different capacities: 125, 218, 250 and 346 litres.The small footprint and ability to choose from under-counter or floor-standing versions make this the practical choice of freezers.

BioBlood

The BioBlood freezer is designed to meet the high demands of blood banks. Modeled on the BioPlus freezer, the BioBlood is the ideal choice for storing erythocytes, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and other blood related material. High quality, reliable and extremely stable, even in warm environmental conditions, the BioBlood cabinets are an excellent choice for the demanding blood bank user.

The BioBlood freezer is available in 425, 500, 600, 660, 930, 1270 and 1400 litres in either white or stainless steel finishes.

BioPlus

This is Gram’s most advanced model of -35°C to -5°C freezers, specifically designed to meet the needs of the most demanding user. This model is fitted with a self-closing door operated by a pedal. The interior is made completely of stainless steel and the model is available in both single and double door versions. BioPlus cabinets are available as floor-standing units with six different capacities ranging from 500 to 1400 litres. Available in capacities of 500, 600, 660, 930, 1270 and 1400 litres in either a white or stainless steel finish.

BioBlood

The BioBlood range of freezers are ideally suited for use in blood banks. Users can opt for a either a solid or clear glass door. Stainless steel drawers are also an option if required. The BioBlood freezer is available in the following capacities 425, 500, 600, 660, 930, 1270 and 1400 litres and can be finished in either white or stainless steel.

BioMidi

A mid-range spec freezer by the experts at Gram. This freezer is capable of reaching temperatures of -40°C by using an advanced compressor located in the base of the unit.Available in two sizes, either 425 or 625 litres, the BioMidi freezers are only available as floor-standing units.

BioBlood

This is the lowest temperature BioBlood freezer from Gram, capable of reaching temperatures of -40°C. Users who which to reach even lower temperatures should consider the BioUltra UL570 (see below).

The BioBlood freezer is specifically targeted at users who which to store blood related products such as whole blood and plasma. Interior fixtures and fittings are designed with the storage of blood products in mind. The freezer is made with the highest quality of workmanship as expected in all Gram instruments. Available in sizes ranging from 425 to 1400 litres.

BioUltra UL570

Using an advanced cascade refrigeration system, the BioUltra UL570 is an ultra low temperature (ULT) freezer that operates safely at temperatures up to -90°C.

This model is fitted with vacuum insulated panels and insulated inner doors to help maintain temperature. Available in one size only (570 litres), the BioUltra UL570 comes with 5 stainless steel shelves and levelling castors as standard.
