Henderson Biomedical is pleased to have been appointed a distributor of Gram Bioline refrigeration products. Since 1908, the company has focussed on creating high quality refrigeration and freezing equipment for demanding users. Initially, producing fridges and freezers for both domestic and commercial food and dairy sectors as opposed to labs, Gram quickly realised the untapped market in the pharmaceutical and medical environment, and expanded their range. Since 1972, Gram have been producing reliable lab fridges and freezers, evidenced by an almost unrivalled 5 year manufacturer's warranty.
Their equipment is characterised by a number of innovations including built in user verifiable temperature validation on almost all freezers, ATEX approval on the entire range, automatic smart defrost and access ports. The entire Gram range utilises compressors with impressively low noise outputs, the highest being 57.8dB (the PF425 -40ºC freezer) and the usual being around 45dB from standard fridges and freezers.
ATEX approval has been met, despite all bioline laboratory freezers being fan circulated, and ensures that the fridges are safe to use in explosive environments - a must if you are storing volatile susbtances.
Please note external glass doors are not an option on freezers for obvious reasons relating to cold loss.

BioMidi EF425 (425 litres -40°C)
The EF425 is based on the RF425 but has a different user interface and the ability to draw down to an impressive -40 degrees.
The Bio Midi range sports the MPC4.6, which can have a monitor fitted enabling the freezer to communicate with a computer and transfer data logging information across. The Bio Midi EF425 is also equipped with an internal draught shield as standard - a feature often a costly addition in competitor freezers.
The compressor is at the base of the unit, and uses the entire plinth, thereby raising the lowest shelf making it easier to access for users. It also does away with a virtually uselss 'half depth' shelf, which many fridges and freezers provide on the lowest levels. Additional venting ensures the unit keeps cool even in ambient temperatures of up to 30ºC.
With a footprint of just 600mm by 731mm, the low temperature freezer will sit comfortably in any aperture designed for a standard upright freezer or fridge.

BioMidi PF425 (425 litres -40°C)
The PF425 is based on the RF425 but has a different user interface and the ability to draw down to an impressive -40 degrees.
Designed primarily as a blood plasma storage facility, final approvals are nearing completion on this range of equipment. Available in 425litre, 600 and also 660litres, the plasma storage facilities produced by Gram, are second to none, and upon release, are expected to outperform current bloodbanking storage brands, not only in their flexibility, but their performance too.
The compressor is, as with the EF425, at the base of the unit, and uses the entire plinth, thereby raising the lowest shelf making it easier to access for users. BioPlus EF600W and EF660W (600 or 660 litres - 35°C)
The EF600 and EF660 are available in W (wide) models only, where the width of the machine (door opening) is greater than the depth of the machine. Having a shalloweer machine ensures that it is easier to reach all parts of the freezer.
Both machines have the same footprint, although the 660 is 15cm taller providing it with an extra 60 litres of storage.
Being a member of the Bio Plus range, you are guaranteed the best possible materials in the construction of this freezer, with a full stainless steel interior and sensitive control of relative humidity within the cabinet.
To help reduce the cost to the customer, this machine isavailable in white laminated steel, saving almost £200.
